starting a local lake tank with all lake items, mostly

I'm in northeast IN and would like to know if anyone has done this? What are the good, bad and don't do it. I'm just getting everything started, so I'll add pics as I get the stand built. I know I got a great deal on the tank, $40.00 for 48x21x12. I think is 50 or 55 gal. It dose not leak.

You may want to find out what the rules for collecting are in your area. I am in the PNW and refer to the state's DNR website for that information. They also let you know about invasive species.

As long as it's not a size limit fish it's ok. I wasn't looking to keep bass or walleye. just minnows and a bluegill or two.

I’m in north east Indiana too where abouts you from I’m in connersville. I have collected here  wild plants and drift woods etc you can keep fish as long as it’s within fishing regulations. Or not endangered. You just got to have fishing license. My favorite plant I come across is bacomba!
