Nate710
I have had two acaras together for about six months. They have shown signs of pairing but have never bred so I assume they are both males. My EBA is flashing, everyone else is eating normal, acting fine. Water parameters are 0ppm ammonia, 0 ppm nitrite, 20 ppm nitrate. My two acaras are pulling at plants, doing what looks to be some mating dance shimmy kind of thing. I’m almost positive both are males based off my research. They are always with each other, very rarely aggressive towards each other, never more than a quick chase.
Fish Folk
Interesting! That’s typical pre-spawning behavior.
