Mr. Ed's Aquatics
I recently got some fish on Aquabid and have a couple not doing well at all. I had 3 blue dolphin cichlids and only one was active and eating. The other 2 were seriously darkened up and would not eat anything I tried. One has passed and the other is close behind I fear. Any ideas? Anyone had a similar problem? I tried to put them in a hospital tank. Much lower flow, added salt, kept lights off... no luck. 1st pic is the sick one 2nd is the one doing well. Mr. Ed's Aquatics
Update I got him in the hospital tank and noticed his other eye looks extended a little and maybe a scratch... That needs antibiotics yes? Going to try the trio and see if it helps.
Administrators Cory Posted July 19, 2020 Administrators Share Posted July 19, 2020 I personally would just use high salt with africans, 1 tablespoon per gallon for these guys in the pictures.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking first but I was using like 1/2 the salt. I will try upping it and see if it helps.
MR aquarium
salt will probably take care of it at that dose and the cichled should be fine.
