North Dakota fish keeper
Can anyone identify what type of algae this is, how can I prevent it, and how to get rid of it?
Guppysnail
Hi. That looks like filament/hair algae. A clean toothbrush or pipe cleaner twirled collects it nicely for removal. High intensity and/or overly long light period along with nutrient rich water encourages growth of this type in my tanks. Hope that helps.
