LilOne
I have been reading on here and one post said Cory advised to add an air stone to tanks. as betas come from calm waters would it be a good idea to add an air stone? perhaps in one corner of the tank so the betta has most of the tank with calmer water? colo3000
An airstone isn't going to agitate the water near enough to disrupt a betta. Your water will be plenty calm, especially since the area affected by one is pretty minimal. If you're pumping tons of air out of an airstone it could be annoying to your betta, but if you use one of the small air pumps like the USB air pumps that Aquarium Coop sells, it shouldn't be an issue. sairving
I have an airstone running in my 10 gallon betta tank and its fine. It doesn't bother him at all.
BettaHomesAndGardens
If you’d like to adjust how much air is being put through the stone you can purchase a control valve that will let you regulate it. An air stone is a great addition to most tanks.
