North Dakota fish keeper
I am new to aquatic plants. A piece of my Java Fern Windelov broke off during tank maintenance today. Can I float it and will roots grow from he little black "pods" that are on the underside of the leaf? Or should I do something else? xXInkedPhoenixX
Yes you can float them and sometimes they do have enough to glue them to another piece of wood or decor. That's one of the neat things about Java!
JoeQ
Float it, sink it, glue it a rock, wedge it in a piece of wood. As long as you don't sink the roots it should regrow
Patrick_G
If you let it float it just might start growing little plantlets. After a while you can break them off and attach them wherever you want.
