Javier123
Hi, I just got my order from aquarium coop, and the Anubia nana I got seemed pretty healthy and green outside of the water, however after I put it in the tank I noticed that some leaves started to show white spots. Is this some kind of disease? should I cut the affected leaves ? This is a new tank that has not been cycled yet
xXInkedPhoenixX
When I blew up one of the pictures it almost looked like mineral deposits. Are you able to rub the spots off at all?

xXInkedPhoenixX
It does not appear to be anything harmful and the plant may just be adjusting to your tank- the leaves may even melt. If they concern you you can cut them off as long as the plant has other healthy leaves with which to live. 🙂
Javier123
Thanks, I will leave them for now then and see how the plant evolves before cutting those leaves.
DaveO
I wonder if the supplier of this batch of Nana is spraying wax on them. I got a nana a month or so ago that looked like the spray on apples. It is slowly going away plus the new leaves are clean, of course.
