Guppysnail Posted December 1, 2021 Share Posted December 1, 2021 Coop actually sells prefilter sponges to fit. I use prefilters even on tanks that don’t need it. Any reason to add surface area for beneficial bacteria to me is good. Did you use the foam as your media you said you changed? I use only sponge media so I never have to change it and never throw out beneficial bacteria just rinse in old tank water. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
