Hi folks,

I've finally found a UK supplier for BBS eggs that isn't crazy expensive so I've ordered some.

Question is my hatcher comes with a little 5ml scoop and I'm wondering how many scoops would get me an appropriate sized hatch?

Fish are mainly nano, CPD, emerald dwarf Rasbora, chilli Rasbora etc and a dozen or so corydoras. Rough guess is around 150 fish.

I also feed, micro worms, bugbites and vibra bites for a varied diet plus mosquito larvae and daphnia from the duck pond down the road when the weather is right for them.

You can try a half or full teaspoon first. Are you using the ziss hatchery?

It's the hobby hatchery that doesn't require air. I'm hoping it will produce enough for my needs as I only have 2 tanks

I would start with alot less than my recommendation. For the passive hatchery  it would be too much. It was based on using air and 2 liters of water.

Go with what the hatcher recommends it will probably reduce the hatch rate if you try to much more than its built for  after a bit of trial and error you'll know what it can cope with an what it will feed.  5ml is a teaspoon so that is quite a good amount for benchmark .
