ritchiebrendan
I have been using Easy Green for the last 6 months but have never seen an increase of nitrates. My plants look pretty good but I am seeing some signs of nutrient deficiency, like I am not dosing enough. I only run a sponge filter, no carbon, and have some dwarf sag, java fern, a crypt, banana plant, and red root floaters in my tank. I could does 2 mL on Monday and test nitrates on Tuesday and still see 0 nitrates. Has anyone noticed Easy Green raising nitrates levels? Thanks! Guppysnail
It should only raise nitrate levels if your plants are not consuming all the nitrogen it contains (which is minimal) but I am not a fertilizer expert by any stretch of the imagination 😂
Scott P.
I use Easy green a few times a week. I do dose very lightly though. My nitrates just kind of sits at 5ppm.
ritchiebrendan
I am wondering if I need to dose more, but figured I would ask the forum first.
