Stef
Hi all. I have a new Zebra nerite snail to help with an ongoing algae problem in a 10 gallon. The snail was introduced about 12 days ago. The other occupants are a betta, 3 panda corys and an oto. None of the fish have white spots/ich. The plants are loaded with hair algae and also have collected this whitish stuff. Is this just detritus or mulm or something else?
Administrators Zenzo Posted August 31, 2021 Administrators Share Posted August 31, 2021 It's a bit hard to tell by the photos, but the spots look raised and not even attached to the shell. It's probably mulm or something. You can try to gently brush it off. They don't appear to be calcium deposits or anything like that.
