BethanyNevitt
Hello from Oklahoma! My name is Bethany, I’m new to the hobby, but already addicted! I started out with 5 gallon tank with a betta, then got a 10 gallon with some danios, then added a 30 gallon to my collection with some tetras, barbs, and a blue lobster, then finally moved up to a 55 gallon with some angels, guppies, and panda Corydoras. I’d love to see what others have done with their 55 gallon!
Alesha
Welcome, Bethany! Your tank is beautiful! I have a 55, too. It's home to guppies, shrimp, assassin snails and pygmy chain loaches. (My water's still a bit murky from a recent treatment.) 🙄😬
BethanyNevitt
Thank you! I love your tank! What kind of black substrate do you have in your tank?

FishObsessed
Welcome to the forum! How do your angelfish interact with your guppies? It's a combo I might consider one day 🙂

Alesha
@BethanyNevitt, we like it just fine. It's hard like gravel, but not quite as rounded. We combined it with crushed coral & ADA soil, if I'm remembering correctly. I think that was a little bit overkill, though. I wouldn't do both of them together again. It looks nice after it's gravel vacuumed. I have noticed that my pygmy chain loaches don't dig around in it for food, so I feed pretty heavy to make sure they eat. I’m thinking I’m gonna put down the caribsea then a little gravel on top.
