I want to try to breed my green neon tetras. Do I acclimate the fish when putting them in the breeder tank? Do I acclimate them when putting them back to the main tank? Do I need an air stone or sponge filter on the breeding tank? will the fry eat vinegar eels?

Im new to fish keeping so im not sure what to do. I just got some green neon tetras yesterday and they are currently hiding. How long until i should be worried because if i try to feed they will hide. Im afraid that they will starve themselves. If im not near the fish tank, they will come out and explore. .

How does one make a quarantine tank? Ive seen videos but some things are unclear. Do I just cycle a new tank? Should I have fish in the quarantine tank ahead of time to keep the cycle going? When putting the fish in, do I acclimate them?

Is it normal for cherry shrimp to lose its color when put into new tank? Does that mean they are going to molt? I put them in 12 hours ago and when I woke up some lost its color.beforeafter

yeah i drip acclimated for 2 hours. Havent fed them anything yet and just letting them eat the algae for now. I dont see any molting yet.

Is it normal for shrimps to be this active? I just put them in 5 hours ago and some of them are darting across the tank. Ph 6.6, 0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrites, 10 Nitrates, KH 30mg/L, GH 60mg/L

I am currently cycling my 20 gallon planted tank. It has ADA Amazinonia as a substrate. My tap PH is 7.4 and it gets lowered down to a 6.4. if I want to add CO2 to the tank, will it lower the PH more?

I'm new to the aquarium hobby. I have a planted tank with ada amazonia substrate. Everything is fresh so I added some seachem stability to help with bacteria growth. I have been letting the tank run on its own for 4 weeks now. The PH has dropped to a 6.0. I have low ammonia, high nitrite and nitrate. Should I leave it be or do a water change? if so how much? Will changing the water increase my PH? should I buy crushed coral to increase it?

GH 60ppm KH 30ppm PH 6.4 Ammonia 4 Nitrite 5 Nitrate 5 Substrate: ADA Amazonia 20 Gallon tank No fish No fertilizers at the moment. 8 Hours of light with day and night cycle having the light get brighter by the day.
