[How would YOU set up a tank for THESE??]

Agree with the darker substrate but I would also make sure to put a hefty amount down there, as they like burrow. Probably sand rather than rock or coral. I would add lots of plant coverage.

I started with one one betta in a 5gal tank then from there I've gotten pea puffers, dwarf cichlids, and of course shrimp, mollies, platies.

Guppy fry love live plants as long as you have plenty of those I think you will do great. This are such a great fish to breed as they are easy!

Try hovering above (maybe 1/2 an inch or so) the soil pulling the tube backwards. You want it just low enough to suck up the debris laying on top but not sucking up the soil. Hope this help 🙂

Thankyou, I'm thinking the angel in the last picture is a female as it has a shallow tubes. I've had the angelfish for 3 months now so they are still young. I'll be paying close attention to them over the next few weeks as they age.

Hey Rita! I've gotten fish before and have put them in the same medicated quarantine tank before while waiting for them to go into their permanent tank. I would just make sure you don't do to many fish in one tank at a time so the filter doesn't crash.

[Sexing Angelfish]

Hey everyone! I've read some articles online but none have made sense, lets hope I can figure this out. I'm not trying to breed my angelfish, rather just curious the sex of them. How do you sex angelfish? Are they even old enough to sex yet? Thankyou in advance!

Here's a little backstory about my angelfish, I have five of them currently, the one in the third picture is the boss. They all get along great, sharing the food. The other black and white one is much smaller then the rest of the angelfish. At first we were concerned it wasn't getting enough to eat but after a close observation at feeding time we have found that they all are pigs. Lol.

Here is some of the fish pictures I got (three of my favs) I found that staying in one spot and not following the fish really helped. I had a phone tripod laying around, as well as a ring light that I set up real quick. I have room to improve, but I'm really grateful that I got some help!

How does everyone get the amazing fish pictures with just a phone? I struggle with getting the perfect fish pictures as some do. The pea puffers are afraid of the phone still, unless its feeding time, but the other pictures just don't focus well through the water. Does anybody have any tips?

[Heaters]

I've found that having two heaters that run on opposite sides of the tank at a lower temp. can improve the life of a heater. It's comforting  to myself to know that if one heater stops working at night another heater is at least going. I also have some South American Cichlids.
