I'm planning on setting up a 29 gallon aquarium-moderately stocked, and I would like to know everybody's options-1 medium sponge filter or 2.

I second what @StephenP2003 said.

I think heard on a live stream Cory talking about why aquarium co-op stopped having sales and deals...

I want some dwarf red coral platies for my 29 gallon, real bad! Lol

The plants that are on your list are both water column feeders and root feeders. I advise you using root tabs and liquid fertilizer. Aquarium co-op sells both. I think easy carbon is used to limit algae growth in some situations.

Wonder when we are going to have our meme stream. Can't wait!

wow. How many adult angels do you have in it?

Wow! What a beautiful tank! What size is the aquarium?

I think you are good. The bio load is fish waste, and beneficial bacteria is all over your tank, so it shouldn't be a big issue. A bigger problem would be nitrate build up.

My pet peeve is when a new hobbyist wants every type and color of fish. And when he can't wait for anything.

I "feed" my quarantine tank with fish food, so my beneficial bacteria doesn't starve.

yeah, I agree with Yanni.

Nice. I gotta start record keeping.

I would use xtreme flakes and fluval bug bites.

I think it's more like 15-20 of one species or the other.

Thx for the info, I am also looking to set up a tank and planning on using sponge filters.

Do you plan on sterilizing the dirt? Like baking it in a oven?

All I've ever done was remove the carbon insert of my hob's and put in sponge pad.
An update on my 75g SA tank!

What substate are you using? specific brand/product? Just curious because I'm looking for a cheap substrate for my 75.
