I recently asked this forum on ideas to create a jungle style aquarium, I did my best to include this feedback but I was wondering if there was any more. Here is the updated tank

also would these plants still grow in just gravel. I dont have any substrate.

thanks for the concern jeff, the tank has been cycling for around 8 weeks now and the aquarium co op staff said 6-8 weeks for shrimp. Thank you all so much!

It's a 15gal tank with 5 red phantom tetras, 4 fancy guppies, 4 snails and planning to add some shrimp soon. I also have a small piece of driftwood, a rock and about 5 plants. I'm wondering what I can do to revive the baby tears on the side. I would also take suggestions for other plants to add and others ways I could include more pieces of driftwood and rocks and stuff. I am planning to add several different colors of the shrimp from the Aquarium Co-op store in person soon.

It’s also hard for me to put a lid as it’s in a nook so the lid would be diagonal or I would have to remove the tank out the lid on and then not be able to do anything inside the tank because of the lid. Also the filter is a National Geographic filter and it’s the medium size

Also how would I make it more naturalistic and make the planting better?

Hi lennie what do you mean buy botanics and also should i increase the water level even more, like above the filter and how do I fix the led reflecting?

Thanks so much Kaitie I also got that suggestion to add a background but I'm having trouble figuring out how to put it on back there as the tank is full of water so it will be very heavy. I also dont have space at the back to reach back and put it as it is in a nook of sorts.

They are pearl weed and a monte carlo with a vallisneria in the back. Do you know if they are individual stemmed.

NOLANANO what do u mean by spreading the stem plants out?

I'm trying to improve the scaping to make it look even better. I have taken some suggestions from fellow fishkeepers however I am going to ask the Aquarium co-op staff for more info. Is there anything I could add to my tank to improve it. I also want to fix the brownish water and thoughts?
