Hello everyone,
I have a small 20 gallon long quarantine tank that is the temporary home to some rummy nose tetras and neon tetras who are in their 3rd week of quarantine. I noticed exactly a week ago that one or two rummy nose tetras had slightly damaged tail fins so I treated everyone with a 2nd round of Maracyn to be safe. Fast forward to the middle part of this week and I noticed that one of my neons looked somewhat discolored and a little skinny compared to the others. I’ve never dealt with neon tetra disease before, but I’ve read a good bit about it. Any ideas if I’m dealing with a neon that suffers from this? The neon in question is acting normal, eating fine, swimming like the others, and stays in the schooling with the others like nothing is going on. Also, all fish now seem to have healthy fins and look great.
I will 100% be waiting at least another week before moving the tetras to my 65 gallon community tank, but I’d like to know if I should do something with this one individual neon before then.
