Errk25
Wondering what are some of people's most interesting hitchhikers that have appeared in their tanks. I've gotten various types of snails on plants that I've purchased like pond, trumpet, and rams horn. But my most surprising hitchhiker was when I collected hyacinth, frog bit, and duckweed from our local waterways for my new 150 gallon goldfish stock tank pond. I started noticing many little fish fry swimming around after a week or two. They were pretty allusive. I was able to net some but couldn't really tell what they were. I was thinking maybe mosquito fish. But now that they've grown bigger, up to about two inches, I can tell that they are common carp . Eggs or fry must have been stuck in the roots of the plants I collected.
Meow Aquatics
Watermeal. I would rather fight duckweed everyday that deal with this stuff.
ForestJenn
Years and years ago I ended up with what I think was an apple snail. It just showed up one day and grew and grew and grew. I loved that thing. I should see if I have an old picture tucked away on a thumb drive somewhere.
