Trailblazur
Hi there👋 Has anyone kept these fish in a large community tank with smaller tetras, etc? Are they plant safe? Do they go after smaller fish like Rummynose Tetra?
Guppysnail
I breed these. They are fine if the tank is large enough. When they breed they will set up territory and go after anything there to chase them away. Not shrimp safe. It’s their mission in life to eat every shrimp on the planet. Completely plant safe. One of my favorite fish ever.
Retrophyllum_minus
I have two males in a 40 gallon. So far they've been great with tetras, pencilfish, plecos, corys, and plants. But definitely would defer to guppysnail on anything curviceps related. I will say they're very fun fish to have around.
Trailblazur
Thanks so much for responding and sharing your expertise 🙏 would you consider them safe with Corydoras? Mind sharing any realistic pics you have of your species? It’s hard to trust random internet photos these days 🥴🥴🥴

If you only have males you will not have aggression issues. They only chase out of their area when spawning. Corydora do not understand personal space at all. Dwarf cichlids enjoy personal space. They would be fine I think if only males with corydora but not a pair spawning time will cause issues. That photo you displayed is accurate. Apparently I take most photos after lights out. Take care when ordering. I went through many vendors sending me Laetacara dorsigera labeled as curviceps. Curviceps have white at the top edge of the dorsal. The photo displayed as curviceps by Wet spot is not a true curviceps. Many show curviceps photos but send dorsigera. Dorsigera I would not trust with small fish.
