CosmicSquid
I have a question. I've never kept a tank of platies long term but my wife has a 30 gallon full of blue coral platies, the ones that are half blue and half orange. She has had them for about a year but lately a lot of the new fry are not coloring up, they just grow to full size and remain plain silver, they are starting to look like mosquitofish. Is this just normal and we should be culling those ones, or is there something going wrong?
AllFishNoBrakes
Sounds like just genetics to me if the fish are otherwise healthy.
T. Payne
To maintain the line to keep the fish to your desired color then culling the silver ones would have to be done.
