CPowers
Hi.. I am new to the hobby of fish keeping, and just really limited to Betta and snails. Would love any advice a long the way. Here are my tanks.... I currently think I need advice to help my rabbit snail thrive!
Tony s
welcome! you have beautiful tanks! the first thing we would need are your water parameters. for snails, specifically your ph, gh, and kh values. although the other values are useful too Edited April 18 by Tony s
CPowers
@Tony s I just got a gh and kh test kit, need to figure out how to use it. The Ph is currently 6.6. And the tank was cycled with a steady Nitrate of 5ppm, but I recently did a large water change to add new substrate and I am worried I may have crashed it... Tony s
with a constant ph of 6.6, tells me you have water on the softer side. snails would like neutral to harder water. hardness being determined by the amount of calcium and magnesium dissolved in your water. something snails need that for their shells. that's your gh values and don't worry about the betta in harder water. he'll be fine Edited April 18 by Tony s

I have another post in General thread about one of my Betta's caudal fins simply half gone overnight would love your thoughts on that if you can take a peek!
