Lumbantobing Gobies

Looking into picking up a Lumbantobing Goby. There is essentially zero care information on the internet and I was wondering if anybody had experience with them. Thanks

Hi. I haven't found anything good either, but Ive found this on reddit: "Rainbow stiphon, they're cool. Have zero fear, will eat meaty foods and algae. Can be pretty territorial." I don't even know if Lumbantobing Gobys common name really is Rainbow stiphon. 

But if you want information for any other goby species, there is a really good German website which has excellent information on almost any goby species. Feel free to hit me up for an translation ( :

They are fairly new to science so little is known about them period.

 

But knowing their ecology one would find that they have similar requirements to stiphodon gobies.

 

Diet consists of macro algae and invertebrates found in creeks and rivers in the foothills. They likely need very well kept and stable water parameters and a higher dissolved oxygen content in the water. Mature tanks that have been established for over a year are also necessary most likely for both stable water parameters and algae to mature and take hold
