klwe7
Our male guppy has been fine, noticed this morning he has a few pin holes in his tail. I don't believe it's injury, we have a 29 gal tank, only 5 guppies and 4 snails and and i have never seen any bullying. He is hanging around by himself at the top of the tank. ph is 7.8 with hard water, well water, what they have always been in. Nitrite and natrates 0. A week ago, we had a sick fish, we treated with maracyn and Ich X, Ammonia was previously 0, went to 2.0 ppm, been doing water changes and adding Quick Start daily, down to 0.5 ppm today. What could these holes be from? Thank you

Thank you I think the cause of the holes in the fins is the ammonia spike I would do daily water changes and add a double dose of prime to help detoxify any ammonia till it constantly stays at zero and monitor the fins you could add some Indian almond leaves as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties if the fins start to get worse then i would quarantine and treat with kanaplex
