DIY, attach hose to PVC pipe

I upgrade my water change system, I am using Camco TastePURE Drinking Water Hose. At $.50/foot, it is pretty cheap.

The hose is a snug fit inside a 3/4" PVC pipe but it is not water tight. To attach the hose to the PVC pipe, I just applied a generous amount of PVC cement inside the pipe and push the hose into it. Just like glueing PVC joints, twist the pipe before it sets. I glued the hose to the pipe first then cut off an inch to clean it up. Then I glued the pipe into the elbow. I like the clean look.

For water return lines from my sump, I would use a 12"+ piece of PVC pipe.
