Elyse
Does anyone have any experience with seachem onyx substrate? I am setting up a tank for a green spotted puffer and am looking to buffer the water some with the substrate but don't want to use crushed coral in the substrate (i'll put it in the filter).
nabokovfan87
This is one of the substrates I'm dying to try, but it's very intimidating. I would imagine it's bits of seiryu stone.
Elyse
Well I bought it…I can tell you how it goes. I’m using it in my brackish tank for a green spotted puffer
nabokovfan87
Many thanks! Looking forward to seeing it. Did you get the onyx larger size or the sand size?
Elyse
I got the larger sized gravel. I like sand but I think this will do better with building up mulm and beneficial bacteria
