Tropicalfishkeeping201
Hello everyone, Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far. How do you guys disinfect a tank as well as the heater, filter, nets and gravel vac that it had a disease outbreak ? Will only air-drying be sufficient to kill any disease? How can I sanitize everything to reuse this tank, filter and heater? I use the Aquarium co op heater? Thank you in advance 🙂

knee
I've used bleach before but only for the tank, HOB filter and heater. I spray the tank in bleach and let it sit for 15 minutes then rinse, then I removed the pump on the HOB and let it sit in a 50/50 bleach/water solution for 15-20 minutes, rinse and let sit in some dechlorinated water for a few minutes. I haven't tried that with the ACO heater tho so I can't speak much on that. Make sure all of them are completely dry for 24-48 hrs before using again.
