Theplatymaster
@TheSwissAquarist i cannot tell from the picture is it External or Internal? as i said in your journal, 1tablespoon per 5gallons of water for Salt should help without killing plants. https://www.aquariumcoop.com/blogs/aquarium/aquarium-salt-for-sick-fish?_pos=1&_sid=59e59d396&_ss=r Edited February 5, 2023 by Theplatymaster
Colu
Is it external or internal it's difficult to tell and does it have a fuzzy appearance and how long has it had the discoloration @TheSwissAquarist Edited February 5, 2023 by Colu

Colu
If it's external if it doesn't have a fuzzy appearance it could be an injury causing discoloration of the scales that why it looks shinny over production of the slime coat or it could be bacterial infection what I would do is add 1 table spoon for 3 gallons of salt and add I wouldn't add more salt than that as glass catfish are sensitive to salt and add some Indian almond leaves as they have antibacterial and antifungal properties depending on the quality of the leaves you might have to add one leaf per gallon to get a beneficial effect if it gets worse I would treat with Sera baktopur direct table active ingredient is nifurpirinol a broad spectrum antibiotic treatment just in case theirs a bacterial component that should be readily available in Europe @TheSwissAquarist Edited February 5, 2023 by Colu
