CornAndCrawlers
This female guppy spawned some fry on 11/2, everything seemed fine but today I noticed she was bleeding. Is this a natural part of birth or something else?
Cinnebuns
Not natural. Possible prolapse. I would suggest hospital tank and aquarium salt. Low lights to reduce stress and places to hide.
PineSong
I agree with Cinnebuns. I've had several guppies from one of my strains develop prolapses. I never saw them immediately following birth so I can't say whether or not they had visible blood like that, but they did survive and the prolapse is visible as a little "outie belly button" kind of nub where their opening is. I myself made the decision to not breed any of the females who have a prolapse, so they were all moved to a girls-only tank. None of the females from my other strains had any prolapses while several of this variety did, so I figured there was a genetic component. I hope that your fish recovers!
