How to sterilize Fish nets and equitment

Hey all,

I had an ich outbreak in one of my aquarium and so I am making sure I sterilize everything!! (just to make sure). I dipped the fish nets and aquarium siphon i used with a vinegar remedy with BOILING hot water.

would letting a fish net/ other equitment dry kill the ich parasites? Also should I buy a different net and siphon for my qt tank to prevent cross contamination?

I don't know what the right answer for this is, but I can tell you what I do. 

I definitely have a designated net for use in tanks with something going wrong as well as a separate siphon for those times. As far as sterilization, I basically do what you do; rinse in hot hot water and let sit over night in a vinegar/ hot water concoction and then let dry completely. How successful is it? I'm not sure, but I like to think it's better than nothing.
