Snackbacon
Hello all! Wish my first post wasn’t in this section, but here I am. I noticed a white spot today on one of my guppy fry. Initially thought it was ich, but the more I look at it, the less I’m sure. There are tons of fry, some cherry shrimp, and some cory cats in the tank, and I have not seen spots on anything else. ammonia: 0 nitrite: 0 nitrate: 10 ph: 7.4-7.6 Temp: 74 F Edited September 21, 2022 by Snackbacon
Colu
It's difficult to tell could be an injury or bacterial or fungal does it have a fuzzy appearance and is the fish eating ok any rapid breathing hanging near the surface
Snackbacon
Like you said, it’s a little hard to tell. It looks raised off the scales a bit. I can’t tell if it is fuzzy or not though. As far as eating goes, I haven’t noticed anything out of the ordinary. Multiple feedings a day and eating like a little pig at each of them. No rapid breathing or signs of lethargy. And no hanging out at the surface (or more than normal I guess).
Colu
It's more than likely an injury what i would do is add a small amount of aquarium salt 1 table for 5 gallon at that level it shouldn't harm your plants and monitor for a week if it's starts to get worse then I would treat with a broad spectrum antibiotic treatment such kanaplex or maracyn2
