asondhi
Noticed this strange algae growing on the intake sponge in my high-tech CO2 injected tank- I'm assuming the CO2 has something to do with it? I dose ferts almost daily d/t the 6-8hr photo period and CO2 injection and maintain about 5ppm nitrate. 1x Betta, 10x chili rasbora, many RCS, and ab 9G total water volume Edited September 5, 2022 by asondhi spelling

_Eric_
Agree with CJ. I would get that prefilter out of there ASAP before it spreads anywhere else. I’m just getting over a bout of it and It can be a pain.
JoeQ
Staghorn, id dip/spray the pre-filter in peroxide to kill it. Caution tho, this will also kill any beneficial bacteria you got growing on that pre-filter as well. Edited September 10, 2022 by JoeQ
