A while ago i was on a binge of old-timey aquarium videos. Its interesting to see what they got right and what they got wrong, what they did different and what we do the same, etc etc. These videos are are hard to find and have few views, and I think a couple people on this forum would get a kick out of them.

I like the campy newsreel dialogue in the videos.  The basics haven't changed all that much, Just the opinions as to best practice.  My favorite segment is the 1955 balanced aquarium.  They make it look so fast and simple.  Place the aquarium next to a north or east window, add gravel, plants, and water "with a sprinkling can for a very good reason." Then add fish, a lid, and a heater, done!

(1937) "Moonfish, zebras of the sea" was the only thing that I thought was completely wrong.  I didn't see any, unless that is what all Angelfish were called in '37.
