JackH
Noticed this a couple days ago in my pond, none of the other fish have anything like this or any other problem.

Colu
What are your water parameters and picture would help with a diagnosis
JackH
Sorry, thought I posted a pic already. Not sure what the parameters are for the pond, I’ll check.
JackH
Nitrate: 20 Nitrite: 0 GH: 75 Chlorine: less than .5(I’ll put some conditioner in) KH: 120-180 PH: 7.8-8.4 I used the Tetra Easy Strips to get this info.
Chick-In-Of-TheSea
Did you get an ammonia reading? Does the growth look fuzzy? Slimy? Or more like a tumor?
JackH
@Chick-In-Of-TheSea I did not, it’s hard to tell, it looks like it could be dead tissue still hanging on or maybe he damaged his slime coat there. FYI I also have a 20in channel cat, I doubt he would’ve done anything though.
Chick-In-Of-TheSea
Let's ask @Colu. @Colu always has seems to have a treatment plan for everything.
Colu
Chorine levels over 0.3 can be harm to koi depending on how long you have had chorine in the pond it could have caused tissue damage what I would do is treat with the antibiotic medication maracyn2 in food the active ingredient minocycline also has anti inflammatory properties keep a close eye on water parameters and add a dechlorinator to remove the chorine
