Tonight marks my first try with this . I have copied the KFS neon breeding trays method but without the RO water. I think if my results are bad that water hardness is my issue - so for this try its - one pair in 2 gallon trays - so 2 of these with artificial mat to collect eggs? maybe?

And live floating plants - set inside empty container and covered with towels for complete darkness - see how it goes

I believe I had one tray with eggs. And the other just a couple happy fish to head back to their tank - My phone camera doesn't seems to want to focus. They're incredibly hard to see. I know these really look like Bigfoot photos - guess a need a camera again. They show up on the tray bottom- and a few stuck to the plastic plants

I will see if anything comes from these -

I also guess conditioning the breeders these last two weeks inspired mystery snails to leave a clutch last night - so that's a plus

I am thinking of just buying some RO water from one of my local fish stores.  It goes for about $1.50 a gallon around here.  Since I'm really only going to be playing with small containers at first I figured I'd get like 5 gallons of it to start.  That way I don't have to install a unit yet if I don't need it long term.

It's nice to see you have eggs already!  Good luck with them!
