JessLynne7 Posted June 1, 2022 Share Posted June 1, 2022 Cold water tank coming along. no heater tank in my living room gold barbs two males and three females, one calico BN pleco and a male paradise fish. im hoping to get the paradise fish a female soon. filling up with love plants in the middle and working my way out. In general I recommend saving up and getting a big plant order and then doing a big planting vs piecemeal having done it both ways. Have fun looks like you are!! I studied and thought out this stocking. I talked to others as well. I love the energy in this tank!!! I could probably ditch the fake plants and spread out my live ones but I made little territory’s. Pleco has his cave by the filter in the faster water. Paradise fish has two top of the water spots with floaters and hammocks and the barns have a big cave and like the rock walls. I basically did two plants with my plants lol. hopefully one more!!! Valyarian will be swimming around looking dull white and blue and bam he sees his reflection and immediately turns bright blue and stripes and colors and dots come out. I have a standard blue. they also make a red, albino, fire and ice (albino blue mix) they are macropodus operculis and the black is a different type macropodus spetchi for the black ones I spelled it wrong I’m sure lol @Beardedbillygoat1975 these gold barbs are equally as cool. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Oh yes they make good pond fish! I just don’t have a pond or I would get more! a guy name Ryan Burke breeds tons of them and has a lot for sale right now for summer tubbing. The fish are juvies and growing 5 gold barbs 1 calico pleco 1 male paradise fish 2 female paradise arrived yesterday one blue and one fire and ice..
