Travis
Anyone here have experience with 100% Silicone Liquid nails adhesive? I was about to use some that I had in my toolbox on a rock work project. However it says not recommended for underwater applications. If it is 100% silicone it should be safe once cured or am I missing something? Thanks Edited October 17, 2020 by Travis
Kat_Rigel
Generally any silicone that was *expressly* made for aquariums will have the "dont use on aquariums* warning. It's a liability issue for them. I've noticed a lot of products that are 100% silicone will also label itself as mold resistant even though there are no additives. Its sort of how steaks at the grocery store are sometimes marked "gluten free." Uh, yeah, I should.certainly hope so. Similarly, silicone isn't the ideal place for mold to grow, so the company just kind of uses it as a positive to advertise. If it is 100% silicone with no additives, it is fine. I have not used that brand exactly, but from what you've said, I think you can use it.
