Shadowswittness
I bought the Easy Green fertilizer. Is it a good choice for a gravel/river rock substrate? I have ghost shrimp and a lyretail molly. Will it be safe for them? First time adding plants to a tank.
Mmiller2001
Fertilizer has no negative effect on aquarium inhabitants (especially when dosed properly) and any fertilizer is effective regardless of substrates. Shadowswittness
I tried the root tabs and the tank went cloudy as all hell. I let it settle for over a week and tested the tank. Everything was baseline for fish, plants, pH and nitrates almost zero. Tank has been going for about 3 weeks with plants and the shrimp. So far only 1 plant death but was my fault lol. Is that normal levels by then? Gh 120 Kh 40-80 Ph 7 NO2. 0 N03
Mmiller2001
I would try to keep somewhere between 12ppm to 20ppm NO3 (as proxy) if using an all in one fertilizer.
