Corbidorbidoodle
My ottos and shrimps are doing a good job, but there's still some algae here and there. Like on the back glass and some of the stem plants. Is there enough for them to eat? Like, will it be, like, MD Fish Tanks spotless when they're done? Or should I feed them when there's just "very little" algea?
Guppysnail
Getting them used to supplemental feeding with veggies and something like repashy super green befor the algae is gone is what I would recommend. There is always biofilm for shrimp but shrimp specific foods contain many nutrients that will benefit them.
JoeQ
If they have full round bellies and you have a clean tank I wouldn't be concerned. If you just want peace of mind that they are well fed you can also supplement with blanched veggies or Repashy soylent green which my cleanup crew/rummies love!
Corbidorbidoodle
They're all still doing great. I've put in Zucchini a couple times and while the Ottos are only mildly interested, everybody else is thrilled with the stuff. Gotta try that Repashy. Seems to be just enough algae growth to keep them happy.
