Where to Trim Stem Plants

Recommended Posts

I'm not good with plant names, so I'm not sure what these are called, but what is the best part of these tall stem plants to trim them? I'm hoping I can trim the tops of them and re-plant them. I'm thinking I should trim just below where two leaves are growing off the main stem. Is that accurate?

Thanks in advance!

That works for me. Remember the original stem will in most cases put out branches from just below the cut line to.

I cut mine quite low when I be want bushier cover or just trim the excess length when it's out of control them just weight and drop the cuttings.

Silly thing is when your tank is full it starts to feel wasteful to throw cuttings. Especially after waiting forever for plants to get going
