Shenandoah Aquatics
I know I have heard it several times on Aquarium Coop's videos but can anyone give me a quick rundown on how to tell if the tanks are tempered or not. I just bought several Aqueon 40Breeders and 55 gallons from Petco that I need to drill but I want to make sure before I bust them to pieces. Thank you!
tonyjuliano
Hammer… Just kidding! Get a pair of polarized sunglasses and look at the glass under strong light. If you see “lines” in the glass it’s tempered. Those are roller marks from the tempering process. Many of the “more economical” brands, such as Aqueon, only use tempered glass on the bottom pane, but there are always exceptions.
