Rudles
Does anyone know of a co2 solenoid that will work with a citric acid/baking soda low pressure system? All I can find are solenoids for bottled gas systems.
Lowells Fish Lab
https://www.amazon.com/FZONE-Aquairum-Solenoid-Aquarium-Generator/dp/B08HZF6BVC/ref=bmx_2/139-2084002-7814645?pd_rd_w=VDSPI&pf_rd_p=e8693f8f-29a2-4e3d-acf6-ce23d1970043&pf_rd_r=33RNZ2HWTA0Y31FCFVEP&pd_rd_r=7e4cd69a-66a2-42a2-bd30-308bf7a904d4&pd_rd_wg=pZAMm&pd_rd_i=B08HZF6BVC&psc=1 This will get the job done but it runs hot. For what it's worth, I have two DIY kits and one 5lb co2 tank in the house and they all look like they have the same fitting for a solenoid. Regulators might not be universal but the solenoids sure look to be. The solenoid attaches in-line to the same fitting as your bubble counter. Rudles
Don't know why but it seems if you quote something in an earlier post this forum automatically carries it over and posts it again 🤔
Lowells Fish Lab
Just now, Rudles said: Runs hot? Ya, physically hot. The solenoid doesn't just use electricity momentarily to open a valve, it uses it constantly to hold the valve open. It's doing a lot of work and generates a lot of heat. The inexpensive ones tend to do that. Higher quality solenoids don't have that issue as much.

Rudles
This solenoid has several positive reviews from people using it with diy systems. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00C2DVD2W/?coliid=I2UNOJD8G73ASM&colid=7HLMV4ND2ISU&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Edited May 31, 2021 by Rudles
