Killi1776
So I have got a 50 gallon tank right now, 3 small angels 2 serpae tetra and my gold ram. The gold ram has been going after the two serpae tetra nonstop and I am not sure what’s causing it. He doesn’t seem to bother the angelfish at all. Has anyone had experience getting a ram to lower aggression or know what may be causing his bad temper?
Colu
It could territorial aggression but the fact he is not bothering the other fish in the tank is odd
Sarina
I once had a German blue ram that beat the absolute crap out of a kribensis cichlid because of a territory dispute. Sometimes they're just jerks. If you get more serpaes to they have a school, he may leave them alone. It could also be that the ram is looking to breed. What's your tank temperature at? Sometimes dropping the temperature can "chill out" rams.
