I'm not new to the hobby, but a lot of members are. For a new fishkeeper, what are your 3 favorite community fish?
For me, it would start with a gang of Corys, a trio or two of livebearers (I prefer Platys, Endlers, and Guppies), and a school of some sort of rasbora.

Cut back on the feedings and remove some of the plants, that will trigger get the parents to eat more of the fry

I dont like the GloFish trend. Too many fish that shouldnt be housed together, and it creeps me out how they make the glow and make it hereditary

I think you did a good job, really highlights the beauty of the fish

Treat for internal parasites, I think it's a sick fish

What did you use for first foods?

AAs a beginning fish keeper, I would recommend Cory catfish, just make sure you get atleast 6, so they will thrive together.

My first was a 20gallon community tank my wife got from the neighbors when they transferred. This was back in the early 80s, we didnt know of cycling, etc and many new species have come along since.
Fortunately, we got a lot of good help and advice from Ray who owned Waterline aquariums, who became a great friend and fish-mentor

I was looking around at a box store and I saw the 60gal breeder, while I was looking at 40Breeder idea, bigger is better. Unfortunately, I have not seen cover options or light hoods. Does anyone know if it's a direct size to the standard 75? Or keep looking?
