  1. Hey Everyone. I got my new plants in (if you saw my first post it all came in amazing!) which consists of various Anubias and Java Ferns. I am noticing like settlement/detritus on the leaves. I am new to plants so I just want to make sure this won’t kill the plant leaves? It’s a nano so I can’t really bump up the flow or my Badis will be shot to the neighbors house. I have ramshorns snails which I’m sure will help and have been using a pipette every day to blow stuff off the leaves but that can’t be a long term solution lol.
  2. Underneath the fish where the eggs and sperm come from. On the males it’s a pointy and narrow tube. On the females it’s short and wide. Usually the tubes will show when fish are ready to breed but some angels have them all the time.
  3. Nah no CO2 just doing low tech epiphyte plants. Hopefully I can keep them alive for a while and then move onto more difficult ones lol.
  4. I am not a professional by any means. But I have bred angels before and Severums as well. I have found that they need a flat upright surface to lay the eggs on. I use an upright piece of slate tucked behind some fake plants I have. This obviously is all depending on if this is a true m/f pair. I can’t tell from the photo but I typically sex them at maturity based on the tube.
  5. Hi everyone, I am new to keeping plants and came across this forum after doing my first order from the Coop. Few questions. - Looks like shipping was delayed an extra few days so the plants will be here Monday. They were shipped on the 3rd so 5 days in transit. Will the plants be ok that long? (Anubias nana petite , Anubias Barteri and Java ferns) - I am using a Kessil a80 tuna sun over a 10g tank. How long should my light cycle be and at what brightness? - How often should I dose easy green? I water change 25-50 percent a week as this tank is moderately stocked. Thank you so much in advance to any help on these questions.
