Thanks! It's hard to get photos of the older fellas from the side because every time I come close enough with a camera they always come to the glass to beg for food hehe. But this one decided to humor me a few days or so ago.

That particular root I got from my kinda LFS. There's a couple of online sites I generally go to for my wood because their prices are better than my LFS and WYSIWYG, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post them. My tanks have both been set up for about a year, but these plants have only been going for about a month so far.

I've been lurking for around a year and finally decided to formally say Hi! Especially since I'm going to have tons of questions to ask haha. I got back into the hobby earlier this year. I'm not exactly new to fish since I kept severum and betta several years ago in highschool, but I wouldn't say I did it right and I have a lot to learn still. I am completely new to keeping aquatic plants and I have decided to dive right in this go 'round with those, though! I currently have two tanks, a 75 gallon and a 20 gallon long!

Thanks for the replies! It's reassuring to know that I can break some of the roots and I won't kill my plants. That's mostly what I was worried about. 😊

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I have a couple of swords that I want to swap between tanks and they’re rooted into the sand pretty well. I’m honestly not sure what the best way to go about it would be. Thanks in advance!
