  1. Thank you! I’m now considering breeding 1975 og’s ($75per fish for breeder pack, because the only other options are the unsexed groups)Id imagine by the time the snakeskin orchid endlers red are available I will have a few more tanks set up. Those are pretty good finds for a petsmart! I’ve never heard of pet supplies plus, probably because they don’t have any in my area 😂
  2. Oh my clownfish!!! I love these little guys, I don’t have a saltwater tank (I did consider it a few times) but whenever I go to my lfs I always admire every clownfish in stock. I’m sorry you lost them they were beautiful lil’ guys!
  3. Oh no! I hate when that happens, sometimes there is a reason why certain fish are more expensive than others
  4. Thank you for the wonderful insight. I haven’t tried dirted tanks yet, have you noticed any ammonia spike when first setting it up?
  5. Oh no! But that honestly reminds me of myself currently, I have so many ideas and not enough space or money to see them through. I’ve decided I’m going to start out with two dedicated breeding tanks (for one colony) and then build upon it after I make money from the first set up
  6. That’s super exciting hopefully you get many generations to come!
  7. Did you buy the lace from a lfs? Sounds like it’s stocked with some awesome fish. Hopefully you can get the emerald cories to breed
  8. Good to know, I haven’t tried those yet but I might look them up. Thank you for the advice
  9. That sound both expensive, and beautiful. I wish you and your fish a long future together Nice, apistos sure are beautiful fish, hopefully you can get a spawn from them! That is a gorgeous discus!! He is so vibrant. So, Noah got back to me and informed me that he won’t expect to have any up for sale for another 6 months, so he sent me over to Amy’s best fish. They aren’t the red type, but they are available.
  10. Oh no! I hate when that happens. I’ve had that happen to me with a ping pong goldfish I had years ago. I wish you luck with your platys. Overnight shipping is always the best option if you have the funds for it, it’s crazy how fast fish purchases can add up
  11. Thank you for the recommendations, what set up do you use to hatch bbs? I don’t know if I want to buy a $44 for daily use on one tank, and my water bottle method didn’t have incredible results.
  12. Ooh I just ran out of reactions 😞 I was going to like your post, I didn’t know those where rationed out. I was debating whether or not to try to use seachem products to buffer my water, thanks for the extra knowledge. And when you have solid rock water calcium deposits are part of the decor lol. My betta is also doing fine, but I think my hope of breeding him has been flushed down the drain
  13. My ph is 8-8.2… I stuffed a large filter bag of peat, and my ph got to about 7.4 within a day (no livestock) but within a week it went back to original ph 😞
  14. I’d love to get a deal like that, I agree that some cheap fish can be more amusing to watch, but now I’m getting sucked into the world of n class endlers, I’m sure my wallet will appreciate that 😂
  15. I have ran peat moss, but only achieved temporary results, I keep guppies and one lone betta
  16. In the 5 years of casual fish keeping I have had to jump through all the hoops that my hard well water through at me, can’t keep/ breed tetras, bettas etc. and don’t even get me started with stem plants. What are some of the best and worst things that you have learned about your hard water??
  17. I was planning on selling class n red snakeskin orchid endlers, and I will most likely sell them via word of mouth, local trades, or online shipping. But I do have a tank of fancy guppies that I plan on selling for about .50-.60 per fish. I would love to breed angelfisf, or kribs, but my water is super hard kh: 12 gh:8 ph:8-8.2 and I’m not quite ready to buffer my water yet
  18. Zebra plecos sure are pretty, do you plan on breeding them?
  19. Thank you for the suggestions, do you think a betta could handle the larger size of flightless fruit flies?
  20. I will most definitely end then an email, I was looking for a “notify me when available” button, but I don’t think they have one, it didn’t even cross my mind to email them. Thank you for the great idea, I hope you have a plentiful future with the new endlers, and that power stays on, power outages can be scary when you have aquariums, and especially breeding tanks which are Heavily stocked.
  21. I’m on the hunt for some red snakeskin orchid class no’s. But everywhere I look they are sold out
  22. Yeah I’m just about to do the same thing for my breeding set up
  23. Oh, that’s the worst feeling. Oops I didn’t know it was already a question, I’m sorry. Yeah… their babies don’t even survive in Fresh water
  24. Hi, I’m McKenna (Mack and mick are nicknames) and I am a chronic over builder/ overachiever. I am nearing a new endler breeding project( also overbuilt) with an auto fry separator and two tanks dedicated to one colony. I haven’t decided what type of endler I will choose yet, but I know I want to feed both adults and fry live foods (in combination with repashy vegetarian option) and I needed help in choosing which live foods I should get. I wish to put the limit of different cultures to 4 ( not including bbs and the occasional mosquito larva from pooled water) thank you for reading, and thank you for taking time to help me 🙂
