  1. Ive noticed there is just a bit of cloudiness to the tank water. All params are good so I don't think it's a bacteria bloom. Doesn't show up on photos.

Was fine this morning. Found him like this. Almost belly up. Ammonnia not measurable by eye (yellow) Nitrite 0. Nitrate 10 to 20. Oranhe but no red. It looked like they were trying to breed this morning. Now I find this. Qt tank is ready

    Any pictures?

  12. As I decide fish I think this one needs to be full tap water. Mixing RO in this volume will be difficult. I did another base test. Ph 8.3. Kh 10. Gh 8. That us a little less gh and kh than i have measured before. Ph is consistant but i will measure again after it sits for a day. I think swordtails will be ok. Other suggestions for stocking?

  13. I've moved stuff around and have it the location I want. Its been leveled and is ready for a water test. I've put a lily on one of the wings with a grow light as a test. If it works both sides will get 2 pots of plants. Still have no idea on what fish are going to be stocked. Also added a small stand in front of it, right side of photo, to move darth bettas tank to so he won't be in the corner anymore.

@starsman20 also WOW that fish is round! 😆

Shes the queen alright.  I've gotten thousands of fry from her and even though shes been away from adult males for months she never skinnied up.  No babies in a while but she looks perpetually pregnant.  My other female thinned out but she only had a few batches of babies.  Plus shes a food hog.  Its good to be queen?????

I wish folks would try organic soil in potted plants.

I will pick some up tomorrow.  i have 32 of these little pots and lots of things to put in them.  Something like miracle grow soil?

  16. I put 6 guppiesin with her to see how she would do and ots mo problem. So maybe she goes in the lady guppy tank and I have a new plan for tbe 36. One of the neons died. Maybe i should add back 12 and call it good without the centerpiece fish...?

I forgot to post this but I was also considering a female powder blue gourami. Anyone have any experience with keeping these. Are they aggressive?

Pbgs are great fish. Just had one die of dwarf gourami disease. Some sites say as many as 80% of these fish have it so I would suggest being careful about sourcing.
