Neons at the chain stores dont last very long in my opinion. I got some from dennys awhile back and all are healthy and thriving.

I feel like this would result in the burnt wood/carbon to be released into the water? Not sure how big of an effect it would have but water clarity might suffer

Happened to go to petco to get a lid for a tank and saw these guys.
Look like pygmy suns a bit but I like them regardless.
Any ideas?

What size tank did you use and how many pairs?

For the Daphnia culture. Did you just fill a water bottle and add some plants. Put it in the sun and let them do their thing?

about 100-125 hatched. No deaths so far. Getting ready to transfer to the fry brooder.
Another note my betta mahachaiensis also bred and fry have already hatched!-

Curious what other species you can breed in stock tank ponds. I have some platinum medaka rice fish and white clouds in (2) 100 gallon tanks. What other species aside from guppies can survive the summer or even year round?

Anyway, I finally got my female Koi and my Male Crowntail to breed! He has some awesome iridescence in on his body and the tips of the tail or white.

My wife just likes to be communicated with, she does have limits that I need to respect, she lets me go nuts in the basement but I’m only allowed a 29 gallon outside the basement. My summer tubs need to be in a mutually agreed upon place or I can kiss them good bye. In turn, I get to do what I like as long as I communicate and sometimes compromise.
This, I moved everything but a 90 gallon (with her blessing) to the garage.

Just curious if shipments are coming from California? I ordered some stuff online and its coming from the Bay Area. Made a ton of purchases before and everything has always come from the store in Edmonds? I have (1) item of my order delivered the rest is not here?

Breeding White Clouds in Ponds

Have about 20-30 White Clouds in an outdoor pond. The Water temp varies between 55-60, prob warmer when it heats up. Have had them out there for a month or two and no eggs or fry seen. I have seen maybe 10 die but not sure why. Have some Java Moss, hornwort, frogbit and water lettuce. Any suggestions to induce spawning.
