Hii im new too, it started with me wanting a water garden/patio pond for my yard in November 2024…I researched about plants and water and all I needed to do make it natural and not have pumps… then… in January, I decided I needed fish. I now have 9 billion guppies and various ponds and tanks, not even a year yet!
but man, all my original guppies have died off one by one, over the last several months. It’s highly bizarre and it’s always too late when I separate them. I’m not sure what they have or what I’m doing wrong, but I assumed it was some parasite from the pet store that I didn’t realize they had. A couple tequila sunrise females looked skinny and lethargic towards the end, the males seemed to have dropsy? I honestly don’t know because whatever was suggested on Reddit or Google didn’t work. I currently have one out of the six OG’s left. I pulled him actually because he was acting a bit off (parts of his tail fin seemed nipped and white on edges also) he’s been in quarantine in aquarium salt, with his son (that looks exactly like him, also white tips on fin, not sure if marking or not) and was also acting weird and hiding. So now the OG seems better but the son seems worse, I know the lethargic swimming by now and how they seem to not move their tail properly, he is not swimming around much, seems paler (not sure if it’s in my head or not), goes for food but spits it out and today he had a long stringier looking poop, but poops had been normal prior today. Does ANYONE know the proper course of action. Should I take out the OG or leave him in to dose him cus he’s probably infected now????
I have probably all the meds 😭 which I have bought over the last couple months, but haven’t dosed anything with them yet cus I’m scared after reading horror stories of fish dying. I recently got the sachem ultimate combo thingy and have yet to use it… sorry to hop on your post but I need help tooooo I am losing it. I also need a mentor 😩🙏🏼
