New tank cycling, worried about water results

I’ve been doing a fish in cycle with goldfish I plan on keeping for 1 week. I just managed to get my hands on some test strips and am worried about the results. The water is still cloudy and the fish sometimes just sit on the bottom of the tank, but less frequently than when I first started off. How do I fix this?
